The Moroccan pharmaceutical industry, is proud to be at the level of international standards in terms of quality, to satisfy the needs of the country for more than 60% by local manufacturing, and export its products to the four corners of the planet. However, in the context of the obligation to rationalize health expenditure and to consider the purchasing power of the citizen by offering him a product of equal quality and at a lower cost, Generic Drug policy is a major challenge, and one of the first concerns of the government authorities.
As such, we had the honor of signing under the presidency of His Majesty the King, a Program contract for the period 2013 – 2023, with the objective for the pharmaceutical industry to increase the share of Generic Medicines from approximately 38% in 2019 at least 50% in 2023.
We hope and make every effort to achieve these goals with the support of the concerned ministerial departments, including the Ministry of Health.
